Cat grooming
Calm, careful cat grooming on Main Street in Germantown, the kind of visit owners say is hard to find.
Mats hide along the belly and hind legs
Cats rarely show you a problem until it is well along. Mats gather along the belly and the backs of the hind legs, especially on older or long-haired cats who can't reach those spots anymore. A greasy ridge along the spine is another common sign that a cat is struggling to keep up with its own coat.
Noise matters as much as tangles. A cat that has been startled by a loud room will clamp down and make everything harder, so the handling has to be calm and unhurried before any clipper or comb comes out. That is most of the skill.

A groomer who reads the cat
Cat grooming is its own craft, and owners say it is hard to find. Kimberly, a client of the salon, wrote "It's hard to find great cat groomers locally". She also said her cat "always leaves her salon looking and smelling great".
Cats, dogs and small animals are all groomed here. Call or text to ask about a cat appointment.
What to watch for at home
After a groom, keep an eye on the coat over the hips and along the belly, where tangles come back first. Check the nails now and then, and notice litter-tray mess, which can be a sign that a cat isn't managing to clean itself properly.
Tell the salon about anything sore, and about your cat's age, when you book. A stiff hip or a tender spot changes how a cat should be held. Call or text with questions, Tuesday to Saturday, 9 AM to 3 PM, and the team will walk you through the visit.
